On the Move

That's right, this boy is becoming VERY mobile. No pulling up yet, but if you help him, he'll stand for a loooooong time! I'm actually surprised he isn't pulling himself up, he often only wants to stand, if you try to sit him down his legs stiffen up. He's rolling all over the place and if he gets on the hard floor, he can scoot a little bit. Mom and Dad are frantically baby-proofing the whole house!
We had his 9 month check up today, and no surprise, he's perfect!

He weighs 19 lbs. 5 oz. (I know this conflicts with the other measurements I have reported, I guess our scale at home weighs in a little heavier than the one at the doctor--which is great for Mom!!) That's in the 30th percentile.

He is 28 and 1/4 inches long. That's in the 5oth percentile.

And for the BEST news of the ninth month......Jackson has consistently slept through the night for TWO weeks now. Yep, and the funny thing is, I think it's because he sleeps on his stomach now. Ridiculous, right, the kid who HATES his stomach LOVES to sleep on it! I think it's because when the binky falls out, it stays right there and he just pops it back in. He goes down around 7:30pm and will sleep until 6:45/7:00am!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HOORAY for Jackson!!!!!!!!!!

Mother's Day

I've wanted to be a Mother all of my life. I found out my dream of becoming a Mother would be a reality on 08.08.08. I will never forget that day or that perfect little angel, Hannah Avery.
And on 01.10.10 I found out I would become a mother again. The last eight months of being a Mother to Jackson Thomas have been the absolute best of my life!
This was a very special Mother's Day for me, cuddling the sweetest baby boy I know :) I can't put into words how blessed I feel to have Jackson.

No one else will ever know the strength
of my love for you; after all,
you're the only one who knows
what my heart sounds like from the inside.
~Unknown

And I really have to thank my own Mother who has given me such a great example of what it means to be a Mother. Thanks, Mom.

Happy Mother's Day to all the wonderful Mothers in my life.

Eight (months) is Great!!

I'll say this every month for a long time I'm sure, I can't believe Jackson is 8 MONTHS old!!!!! These eight months have flown by, but I can't imagine my life without this perfect little boy! We got so many good shots this month, I wanted to share a few more!
He weighs just over 20 pounds (according to our scale at home) and although I haven't measured him officially, I'm guessing, from how short his sleepers are getting, he's about 28.5 inches long.

YEAHS!!
This kid LOVES, LOVES, LOVES his food!!! We're up to three meals a day and he thoroughly enjoys each one. We've also started to give him some finger foods, and he's so cute with them. He can even get some into his mouth :)
And, as of Monday, he has started rolling ALL OVER THE PLACE!!! We spent the weekend with Griffin and I think he may have provided a little motivation. Watch out Magnus!!!

BOOS!!
Unfortunately, for Matt and I, Jackson does NOT like to sleep through the night. And some nights this means he gets up two or three times!! It seems just when we think he's made it (to waking only once) something changes, he gets the sniffles, a new tooth, and we revert back to waking TOO MANY times!! Mom and Dad are ready for a full nights sleep, so hopefully Jackson will jump on board soon!
