The Finish Line is in Site!!!!

We are 32 weeks today!!! It's hard to believe, but at the same time, we are so excited to meet this little guy we can hardly wait for him to get here. I am feeling pretty good, a little on the tired side, but I am still sleeping well so I can't complain too much:) He's now nearing 4 lbs and is somewhere between 17 and 19 inches long! I can definitely tell he's getting bigger by the jabs up in my ribcage:)

We are seeing the doctor every week now and have an appointment tomorrow. She thinks the pregnancy is progressing nicely and my "numbers and stats" are looking good. Little to no swelling, my blood pressure is still low, my weight gain is right on target! Like I said, overall, I'm feeling really good! As of now, her plan is still to do an amnio on August 23rd and if his lungs are developed, we'll go for it! Fingers crossed this little guy is ready!!

The nursery is pretty much ready. We just got a shelf to put up today that will be the last of the decor for his room. All of his clothes, blankets, bedding are washed and ready for him. I've even got his diaper bag ready to go:) I've been scouring the internet for anyone's advice on "must haves" or necessities I've forgotten for his arrival, but I think we've pretty much got everything covered.

We haven't been too adventuresome lately, sticking pretty close to home. We've been working in the yard, and dare I say it's almost done!! I mean I think we almost have everything planted, mulched, rocked, etc. the way we would like it. I'm so happy with it and Matt has been a tremendous help! Let's just say yard work isn't his favorite past-time, but he's been a trooper, moving this here and that there:)

Hope everyone is enjoying the sun and staying cool!!!

Summer is HERE!!!!!!!!!!

All I can say is, it's about time!!! I'm so glad summer finally seems to have arrived. I'm even OK with the uncomfortably hot weather we've had the past few days. Our yard is really shaping up. Matt and Michael laid LOTS of rock last weekend! We've got a nice pathway from the front to the back now. What a terrific husband and brother-in-law I have:)

We had a really fun 4th of July weekend. My mom was able to come up and spend it with us since Ron and Alex were gone for a family reunion back in South Dakota, they were missed. It was great to have my mom all to myself:) She helped me pick out some plants and came home and planted them for me! I really appreciate her expertise in the yard! We also got to spend quite a bit of time with Griffin, which Grandma loved. We were also lucky to have Blair, Ashley, my Grandparents, Uncle Tom, Aunt Jen, Zack, Lindsay and her new boyfriend to celebrate the fourth with! Yummy food and REALLY yummy desserts!!

We did make a trip to the hospital on Tuesday. Everything ended up being fine, but we were a little worried for a bit. However, they monitored Pistachio and said his heartbeat was perfect and they couldn't believe what an active little guy he was:) We also found out I am 50% effaced and 1 cm dilated. This doesn't really mean much at this point, I could stay that way for the next 6 weeks. We have started seeing our doctor every week now, a nice reassurance for both of us! It's hard to believe we'll be meeting this little guy in just over a month!

Hope everyone is staying cool!!
