Third Trimester!!

That's right, we're in our third, and FINAL trimester!! We are getting really excited for his arrival! We had a doctor appt. today and everything looks great. His heartbeat is strong and I'm measuring right on. I'm still feeling good, too!

We worked on the nursery this weekend. We're still waiting on his bedding, but we put up the curtains and have added a few small decorations. I'm getting all the necessities in order (some non-necessities too).

I was very lucky that one of my best friends, Brooke gave me TONS of clothes for Pistachio. I am so lucky to have such great, generous friends! He is really set for the first six months of his life, I think.

We really enjoyed ourselves on our anniversary, as well. We had dinner at The Chart House, it was delicious! Cheesecake with caramel and macadamia nuts for dessert, I was in HEAVEN!!!

We're headed to the beach this weekend with all of our friends for a relaxing and hopefully sun-filled vacation. Hope everyone is enjoying the summer--and I use that term loosely!

Rain, Rain Go Away!!

I am so sick of this rain, if it doesn't stop soon, I'll have to relocate! I cannot believe it's mid June and we still have rain and temperatures in the low 60s. Some say I should be thankful that I'm not dealing with warm temperatures as I'm getting bigger and bigger (by the day I feel like!), but I'd give up some comfort to see that big fiery ball in the sky! I know, this could come back to bite me in August when I can't get cool no matter how hard I try, but that's how I feel now.

I have been bad about blogging, we have been very busy!! We've had guests, gone to visit my parents and are still moving the last few things into the office and getting settled there. My cousin, Heidi, got engaged and is getting married in September, so she came up and we went dress shopping! That was very exciting, she found a beautiful gown. I will be standing up with her as a matron of honor and I am absolutely honored! I am a little worried about fitting into a dress a month or so after Pistachio arrives!

We, of course, had a fabulous visit with my family! Blair and Ashley let us take Griffin along to see Grams and Gramps, and he is really all the entertainment any of us needs:) Alex had her first dance, she had a smile you couldn't wipe off all day! She had such a great time and she looked so beautiful! I can't believe my baby sister is so grown up! It was really special for us to be there and share that experience with her.




We have some exciting things coming for the rest of the month also. Monday will mark our second anniversary, that's hard to believe! Thinking back to that day makes me smile, we had such a great time with each other and all of you:) I feel so fortunate to have Matt as my partner, I do love him more and more with each day! Monday will also mark the beginning of the third trimester, yeah!! The finish line is in sight and we can't wait! We are getting ready to head to the beach with all our friends at the end of the month for our annual beach trip. We're really hoping for some nice weather, although I know we'll have a great time either way!
