What's in a name?
I'm not sure if everyone knows the meaning behind Jackson Thomas, so I thought I'd share.
Jackson Thomas is named after his two Great (and I mean GREAT!!) Grandpas. Jackson for Matt's Grandfather, Jack and Thomas for my Grandpa, Thomas. This was one of the only names we could both 100 percent agree on. They're both excellent names on their own, but together they just sound so strong. And that's perfect for our little guy who came out holding his head up! I also have to say, it has been mentioned, quite a few times, that Jackson Thomas sounds very presidential....
I'm also very proud of how his name turned out, with the jungle animals (well, I'm not sure a penguin is a jungle animal and the turtle....) as the letters. Matt and I worked on these together and had a blast! I think they definitely completed his room!

Just wanted to say that my dad would have been so proud to have Jackson as his namesake. I wish he could have met his great grandson. Great grandpa Jack and Great grandma Betty would have been over the moon for that kid. Also, Niki, while in some of the pictures on this blog Jackson looks identical to Matthew as a baby, in this, his five month shot, he sure looks like his mama! What a cutie!
