As some of you may have heard, Jackson is mobile. He started crawling, or as I have been calling it, inch-worming on Saturday, thank-you-very-much Aunt Alex! She put her phone out in front of him and and he had to have it! So she moved the phone again and again, he inch-wormed after it again and again! Take a look:
He also logged many hours on his feet while we were in Hawaii. Everyone took turns holding his hands and letting him walk, and walk he did, he even ran for Griffin one time! The only problem now is, there are only two of us, and we just can't keep up with this boy! Try holding him and he immediately finds your fingers to let you know he's ready to move. This little guy is clearly tired of sitting in one spot.
So he's inch-worming and cruising around while holding your hand, we're just missing the step in between were he pulls himself up to walk. Hopefully that's not too far off because he absolutely doesn't want to sit or lay around any longer! Mommy needs a massage!

Happy Da-Da's Day!
For Father's Day, I thought I'd share the four generations picture with all the boys. We took this back in April when Matt's Grandfather and Father were visiting. We got some really great photos of the Crose men!
And I'd like to say, Happy Father's Day to my amazing husband and the best Daddy we could wish for! It really does put a smile on my face to see the two of them together, and I guess I have to admit, they do look alike :)
As a special treat for Father's Day, Jackson began saying da-da-da-da on Friday. Just practicing for today, I guess :)
Happy Father's Day to all the great Fathers in our lives, especially Ron, the man who's been more than a Father to me, he's been a friend, cheerleader and pretty darn good fix-it guy!
**PS- I'm hoping to do a few posts this week as we have lots of new pictures to share from vacation and lots of exciting revelations to share ;) Stay tuned!!**

Like Father, Like Son
OK, OK, I get it. Jackson looks like his daddy. Everyone, and I mean EVERY ONE, even strangers like to tell me how much my little boy looks like his daddy. It's a good thing his daddy is so handsome :)
So I thought we'd do a poll:
A) He looks EXACTLY like his daddy! (well except for the full head of hair and beard, he's working on that 'stach though!)
B) He looks like his daddy, but I see some mommy in there too!
C) What is wrong with these people, he looks like his mommy! (mommy with a mustache?)
Let me know what you think!

On the Move
That's right, this boy is becoming VERY mobile. No pulling up yet, but if you help him, he'll stand for a loooooong time! I'm actually surprised he isn't pulling himself up, he often only wants to stand, if you try to sit him down his legs stiffen up. He's rolling all over the place and if he gets on the hard floor, he can scoot a little bit. Mom and Dad are frantically baby-proofing the whole house!
We had his 9 month check up today, and no surprise, he's perfect!
He weighs 19 lbs. 5 oz. (I know this conflicts with the other measurements I have reported, I guess our scale at home weighs in a little heavier than the one at the doctor--which is great for Mom!!) That's in the 30th percentile.
He is 28 and 1/4 inches long. That's in the 5oth percentile.
And for the BEST news of the ninth month......Jackson has consistently slept through the night for TWO weeks now. Yep, and the funny thing is, I think it's because he sleeps on his stomach now. Ridiculous, right, the kid who HATES his stomach LOVES to sleep on it! I think it's because when the binky falls out, it stays right there and he just pops it back in. He goes down around 7:30pm and will sleep until 6:45/7:00am!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HOORAY for Jackson!!!!!!!!!!

Mother's Day
I've wanted to be a Mother all of my life. I found out my dream of becoming a Mother would be a reality on 08.08.08. I will never forget that day or that perfect little angel, Hannah Avery.
And on 01.10.10 I found out I would become a mother again. The last eight months of being a Mother to Jackson Thomas have been the absolute best of my life!
This was a very special Mother's Day for me, cuddling the sweetest baby boy I know :) I can't put into words how blessed I feel to have Jackson.
No one else will ever know the strength
of my love for you; after all,
you're the only one who knows
what my heart sounds like from the inside.
~Unknown
And I really have to thank my own Mother who has given me such a great example of what it means to be a Mother. Thanks, Mom.
Happy Mother's Day to all the wonderful Mothers in my life.
xoxo

Eight (months) is Great!!
I'll say this every month for a long time I'm sure, I can't believe Jackson is 8 MONTHS old!!!!! These eight months have flown by, but I can't imagine my life without this perfect little boy! We got so many good shots this month, I wanted to share a few more!He weighs just over 20 pounds (according to our scale at home) and although I haven't measured him officially, I'm guessing, from how short his sleepers are getting, he's about 28.5 inches long.
YEAHS!!
This kid LOVES, LOVES, LOVES his food!!! We're up to three meals a day and he thoroughly enjoys each one. We've also started to give him some finger foods, and he's so cute with them. He can even get some into his mouth :)
And, as of Monday, he has started rolling ALL OVER THE PLACE!!! We spent the weekend with Griffin and I think he may have provided a little motivation. Watch out Magnus!!!
BOOS!!
Unfortunately, for Matt and I, Jackson does NOT like to sleep through the night. And some nights this means he gets up two or three times!! It seems just when we think he's made it (to waking only once) something changes, he gets the sniffles, a new tooth, and we revert back to waking TOO MANY times!! Mom and Dad are ready for a full nights sleep, so hopefully Jackson will jump on board soon!
